Shel Silverstein’s ‘Homework Machine’

My Homework Machine, Ode to Shel Silverstein – July, 2015-May 2016 This is a photograph emulating a poem by Shel Silverstein’s, ‘Homework Machine’. I created this for my kids, avid fans of Mr. Silverstein. It took a year to get it all together, but it was worth it to give them this memory of how once when they were little, they were part of one of their favorite author’s creations. We are fond of our books. Some books hold a special place in our hearts as we remember reading them as children, and others are newer books we joyously devour….

Thank You 2016!

  What an incredible year 2016 was! We left our irreplaceable clients on the East Coast, and traveled across the country to start anew. While it’s been a lesson in temperance, I am over the moon about living here in the Portland area, and have really enjoyed building new relationships with my clients. The compilation slideshow below, puts all my favorites together from the last year. There is lots of love here. It’s a beautiful life!

Family Portrait Session – Portland, OR

It was a beautiful Portland winter day (meaning there was actually a bit of sunshine), and I had the pleasure of working with this super sweet family of three. As soon as I met them, I immediately like them. Super friendly, and all three were gorgeous…I couldn’t wait to get started. The little guy was so expressive, the curls, and oh what a face!
