Newborn Girl Portrait Session ~ Portland Newborn Photographer

I can’t stop looking at this session. It was a kind of regular, cloudy, grey day in Portland, the kind that makes you want to curl up with a cup of tea (or for me…coffee!). My clients arrived in my temporary studio space on SE Morrison Street, which is a bit rough around the edges compared to my swank 1,400 sq. foot studio on the East Coast. Momma, although tired, arrived along with not only her littlest one, but baby girl’s big brother too, who is two, and super adorable (bonus!!). We rode up the utility elevator, which is always…

Happy First Birthday Baby Girl!

For my first session in Portland, in this cool temporary space, I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter, cuter, little kiddo to break it in. She and her mama were wonderful, and we had so much fun! After sorting through and choosing her perfect setup, we didn’t need to do much, as she kept me on my toes, and mama too! She was fully of smiles, and just lit up the room.  We even got a visit from some nice photographer neighbors in the studio space, who helped us to get that inquisitive look at the end of the session….

Quinceañera ~ She’s Fifteen!

It’s almost midnight, and I’ve been editing for hours. I have been wanting to complete this session, for my client, but also because I had gotten a glimpse of the raw files, and couldn’t wait to perfect them. What a doll she was! We had three photo sessions scheduled as part of her Quinceanera. Two independent of the actual event, where we really go to just have fun. Not only did this sweet girl conduct herself with class and style, but she was a knockout! We had a wonderful time bringing all these moments to life, and recording this transition…

Moving to Portland

Here we come! While its daunting to think of moving a business 3,000 miles, it’s also exciting to be back on the coast we grew up on.  This 3K mile trek will be one our kids will always remember.  The good and the bad. So far, we’ve made it through a historical, demonic storm in the Appalachians, and learned to not trust Expedia’s hotel rating (cockroaches and something that looked like dirty water – they called it coffee?). Did I mention we are traveling with two dogs AND a Guinea pig?  Enough said. We are halfway there, somewhere in Kansas…
